Hello my dears,
Today I will tell you of my great experience at the monkey mountain in Salem.
What exactly is this?
A path leads you through the middle of the home area of over 200 Barbary monkeys. They live freely in a 20-hectare forest area – almost like in the wild.
The monkeys can be fed with specially brewed, free popcorn. A great experience for young and old.
Trained staff can provide information and make several times a day small feedings explanations for the spectators.
admission: 8,50 €
Parking and popcorn for the monkeys are free .
Not only monkeys! On the mountain you can also meet:
- free flying swans
- greylag geese
The trip to the monkey mountain has made me very fun. It was very interesting to see monkeys so close. The monkey mountain is overall a beautiful park and a great nature experience. Also the staff was very friendly.
Oans, zwoa… O’zapft is!
Last Sunday we decided to go to Munich to visit the Oktoberfest. From the Olympic Park, by the Marienplatz we arrived at the Oktoberfest in fullest splendor.
Have fun watching!
The Oktoberfest is the world’s largest folk Festival (beer festival and travelling funfair). Held annually in Munich, it is a 16-day folk festival running from mid or late September to the first weekend in October, with more than 6 million people from around the world attending the event every year. Locally, it is often simply called the Wiesn, after the colloquial name of the fairgrounds (Theresienwiese)themselves. The Oktoberfest is an important part of Bavarian culture, having been held since 1810. Other cities across the world also hold Oktoberfest celebrations, modeled after the original Munich event.
Munich is the capital and largest city of the German state of Bavaria, on the banks of the River Isar north of the Bavarian Alps. Munich is the third largest city in Germany, after Berlin and Hamburg, with a population of around 1.5 million.
How do you like Munich ?
Were you ever at the Oktoberfest ?
